Soo, as I have mentioned, our two resident teen granddaughters love to be in the kitchen cooking up innovative dishes. But now they both work two part time jobs involving, you guessed it, food! One has the coffee hut gig, which has many food options, then at night she is a server at a brand new seafood boil restaurant that had a delayed opening due to Covid, but it was worth waiting for. It has rave reviews. K loves her employers, fellow workers, and the great tips. It’s got an urban vibe, so they can wear the in fashion jeans with holes in! We plan to go there to celebrate my birthday early, with perfect jeans on that have no holes thank you very much. 😀
The other teen works at a National chain restaurant that she always loved, plus she started working for a well known restaurant that caters events. So far she’s served at a private school banquet and the Valentine’s Day event at the zoo. Another exciting event is happening tonight, at the restaurant. They will open for regular dine in dinners in May. It’s a top tourist attraction. The pay plus tips is so excellent that I even joked that I am gonna apply. Lol! Oh, did I mention that she has brought home cheese cake, cupcakes, Italian food etc.? Oh my. My eating plan…
Speaking of my great eating plan, it was going great again until one made creamy fattening pasta, David gave me caramel & other chocolate for our 40th anniversary, chocolates for Valentine’s Day, & my birthday is next week. Oh my. But I still lost a pound! Well, I can semi coast this week then get right back on track 100 % next week!
You know that in a year or two when these two, who are almost 20 & 18, leave for great adventures, I will miss all this, and all the extra ingredients & many different foods that are in my pantry & fridge. But it will be good to not have all those temptations around. Still, I wouldn’t trade this precious time for anything in this world!
